ENERGY STAR® to Label Commercial Dishwashers

ENERGY STAR (a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy, was developed to help consumers and businesses save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices), has developed guidelines for commercial high and low temperature undercounter dishwashers, stationary single tank dishwashers, single tank conveyor dishwashers, and multiple tank dishwashers.

The guidelines requires that commercial high temperature sanitizing and commercial chemical sanitizing dishmachines meet stringent guidelines on water usage and idle energy usage.
